There are legal defense services offered to the poor in Detroit for free by some non-profitable organizations which run on charity. Non-profitable organization Defender and Legal Aid Association, Inc. (http://www.ladadetroit.org/) offers legal defense services free of cost to people who have very low income and also to seniors. At the time of writing, this is the largest organization offering free legal services in Detroit. They claim that they will be the fourth largest firm if they were private. This organization runs on charity from good-hearted. Another organization DLSC (http://www.detroitlawyer.org/) assists attorneys to offer legal defense services for free to poor. Also they work in close with selected law firms who work for people under poverty line. Their aim is to make private firms to serve more people who have below average income. (http://www.wcnls.org/) is a pretty old organization which offers legal advice to low-income people on all judicial grounds primarily on safety and health. It is a non-profit organization funded by various firms and aims to provide legal service to the needy. NOLSW (http://nolsw.org/), which originates from anti-poverty movement of United States, serves people with defense services, protection and awareness among people, defense for social rights, etc.

There are many such organizations offering judicial advices and supporting with attorneys on defense cases for the people who are poor. The services offered are with perfection not compromising on quality of support; hence ensuring the free service offered to the needy finally bears fruit and lightening the life of the poor.
